  • Full-time role with one of Australia's leading boutique hotel groups
  • Melbourne CBD Head Office with hybrid working
  • The ideal step up from reservations or events coordination into hotel sales

Are you known for the quality of your follow-through as much as your energy?

Lancemore Hotels is looking for a Conference and Event Sales Executive who combines warm, polished customer service with a sharp eye for detail to manage conference and events enquiries across our portfolio, from first contact through to confirmed booking and handover.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you'll be a key part of a high-performing, supportive sales team in a family-owned business that has been a leader in boutique luxury and residential conferencing since 1986.

About the role

  • Respond to inbound conference and events enquiries by phone and email with warmth, speed and professionalism
  • Qualify leads, prepare accurate proposals and quotations, negotiate terms and convert enquiries into confirmed business
  • Manage contracts and deposits with a high level of accuracy, and hand confirmed bookings over cleanly to our on-property teams
  • Conduct site inspections and familiarisation visits, with thorough follow-up
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across accommodation, dining and activities, and across the wider Lancemore portfolio
  • Look after a portfolio of existing clients, and re-engage past clients to generate new enquiries
  • Keep the pipeline current and accurate in our CRM and contribute to weekly forecasting and reporting
  • Support the Director of Sales with campaigns, promotions and outbound sales activity

What we're looking for

At least 2 years' experience in a hotel or venue, reservations or conference & events, with exposure to the full enquiry-to-booking cycle
Excellent phone manner and written communication, with the confidence to represent a premium brand
High attention to detail: you catch the errors before the client does, particularly in proposals, contracts and event orders
Strong organisation and time management, comfortable juggling multiple enquiries and deadlines
A natural relationship builder with a genuine customer-service orientation
Sound skills across Microsoft Office, CRM and property management systems (iVvy experience a bonus)
A positive, can-do attitude aligned with our values
