Assistant Restaurant Manager

A rare opportunity to assist in leading a talented and energetic team in an iconic property within the unique Werribee Park Precinct. 

 

As our Assistant Restaurant Manager, your core aim will be to deliver high-quality experiences for all of guests by spearheading daily operations. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will have an eye detail and be supported to deliver and uphold high standards.

 

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager with all aspects of our daily operations.
  • Lead, coach and empower our Supervisors and Attendants to consistently deliver first-rate service.
  • Have good knowledge of food, wine and beverages.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and provide creative & innovative suggestions to enhance the success of our events.
  • Manage budgets and deliver on profit margins by controlling costs and payroll.

 

About You:

 

To flourish in this role, you will be a dynamic individual who has a flair for creativity alongside a passion for delivering flawless guest experiences.  You will be a natural leader who loves to develop yourself and motivate others to achieve their greatest potential. 

 

You will also demonstrate the following skills and qualities:

  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant. Experience in the luxury market will be desirable, however, is not essential.
  • Good understanding of finance and the ability to maximise revenue opportunities whilst maintaining cost control.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation & time management skills.
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills, including the ability to foster positive relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Experience in executing rosters to dynamic business levels.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
